The AAD100 Advanced Acoustic Dreadnought is designed fromthe ground up to deliver rich, bright acoustic tone with a wide dynamic range.The AAD100 features a nyatoh neck with a low oval grip for superiorplayability, an ovangkol fingerboard and an okoume body that generates a warm,woody tone ideal for fingerpicking. A lightweight, scalloped bridge improvesvibration efficiency for enhanced resonance while the carefully designedscalloped X-M bracing provides high response and a crispy treble. The Ibanez AAD100is slightly larger than a traditional Dreadnought and is considered a Grand Dreadnought, constructed to achieve a superb, powerful sound withoutsacrificing comfort. The AAD100E features a grand dreadnought body shape with a solid Sitka spruce top with X-M bracing and okoume back and sides with an open pore finish. The soundhole is round with a wooden multi rosette and the top is bordered with black binding. It has a low oval grip Thermo-aged nyatoh neck with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with a rounded edge and small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a scalloped ovangkol bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, a red tortoise pickguard and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an AP11 magnetic pickup mounted at the end of the fretboard, an Ibanez Custom Electronics pre-amp with volume and tone controls and a ¼" end-pin output.
